Ait Ben Haddou, morocco – 2018. Ait Ben Haddou is fortified village which is along the old caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakech. The buildings and high defensive walls are made of mud bricks and some of them date back as far as the 17th century. The town is mostly abandoned but there are a few families still living there and a lot of tourist shops at the lower levels. There were a number of movies that used Ait Ben Haddou and areas around Ouarzazate and filming locations – Alexander, The Mummy and the Man Who Would Be King. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
